How long is the Closed Beta Phase 2: MECH UP?

Closed Beta Phase 2: MECH UP will be from April 9th - May 14th, with a one week hiatus from Apr 23 - 30th. The hiatus will be used to prepare a battlefield surprise that raises the stakes higher than ever before. Shortly after the end of Phase 2, $MCG will go live, and participants in Closed Beta who have earned Marks either through in-game or quest participation will be eligible to claim $MCG!

We plan to increase access to our Closed Beta the closer we get to Open Beta. More keys will be distributed, and more exciting features will be released to help playtest the game so it's in the best shape for the Open Beta.

What’s my main in-game objective in Closed Beta?

In our Closed Beta, the goal is to MAKE YOUR MARK. The spotlight is on our dynamic missions system which gives players Marks for completion. Roam freely in a vast open world, diving into encounters that seamlessly blends PvE missions with the exhilarating risk of PvP clashes. As you explore, seize the opportunity to loot, craft, and upgrade weapons and mechs, all while facing the constant danger of being blown to pieces by other players.

Do I get rewards for completing missions in Closed Beta?

Your performance in the Closed Beta in-game missions will be directly correlated to $MCG claimable at MetalCore’s TGE.

What advantages over other players will I have as a player who participated in the Closed Beta and received rewards received at Open Beta?

Players who participate and receive Marks through either social quests OR through in-game missions/activations will be able to claim $MCG at TGE.

How do I see my total Marks?

Your Marks, whether acquired through playing MetalCore, or by participating in our quests on DeQuest, will be visible on the DeQuest platform - https://beta.dequest.io/realms/metal-core. But, if in game, you can always see the Marks you are acquiring through playing the game there.

What are MetalCore quests?

MetalCore quests are designed to celebrate our most avid supporters by rewarding them with Marks! All you need to do is sign up to DeQuest and go to https://beta.dequest.io/realms/metal-core. Not only can you get points for growing your army and referring friends, but also every week, we will have new quests available and ways for you to show your support on Twitter and Discord.

Where do I see MetalCore’s quests?

We are excited to partner with DeQuest to provide quests during this Closed Beta! Visit https://beta.dequest.io/realms/metal-core for weekly quests, and special bonus quests for early supporters! POINTS = MARKS.

I’ve completed a quest, I don’t see my Marks updating!

Don’t fret! Some quests take a bit of time (24 hours) to update. Check back in 24 hours after you’ve completed the quest. If you STILL do not see your Marks updated, please open a support ticket in the Discord with your DeQuest username, and the relevant quest, and we will assist you!

What is the “Required Quest”?

To ensure that you can start acquiring Marks, ensure you complete the Required Quest. You will need to create an Immutable Passport. This is a required step because it is needed to claim $MCG at TGE.

What are the Early Supporter Quests?

Where would we be without our early supporters? This set of quests is for those that qualified for the Chibis, participated in the Loot n Shoot, Alpha 3 tournament, OWNED tournament, or have the @Barony Leader role.

What are the Starter Kit Quests?

Welcome new Soldiers! The Starter Kit quests are designed as an easy way for you to come be a part of our squad. Dive in, say hello, and then prepare for total domination.

What are Weekly Quests?

Those that are dedicated to the cause will be rewarded! Every week, there will be new quests available that open up new opportunities to acquire Marks. Check daily on https://beta.dequest.io/realms/metal-core and make sure to check Discord for how you can acquire Discord roles that correspond to rewards in the weekly quest.

What are the Battlefield Starter Kit Quests?

Once you get your game key, you’re not only eligible for all the ways you can acquire Marks in-game. You will also be able to complete the Battlefield Starter Kit and get additional points for arriving on the battlefield promptly, ready for war.

What are the Build Your Army Quests?

In war, bigger is better. Refer your friends and get them to complete the Starter Kit Quests and be rewarded for recruiting for the cause, Soldier.

What is a MetalCore Infantry Genesis NFT?

The MetalCore Infantry Genesis NFT is part of a collection of 10,000 unique and playable Infantry NFTs made for MetalCore. MetalCore Infantry are built with a wide variety of traits, and with varying levels of rarity. These NFTs provide many forms of utility including:

Fully playable in-game assets for MetalCore

How can I get a MetalCore Infantry Genesis NFT?

We encourage you to pick up a MetalCore Infantry Genesis NFT on supported Immutable zkEVM marketplaces - Token Trove and Sphere after April 10th 5 PM PST. If you do choose to buy on the Ethereum collection, please note that you will need to migrate to Immutable zkEVM via https://link.metalcore.gg/migration in order to get rewards and see your NFTs in game.

What cool things does holding a MetalCore Infantry Genesis NFT unlock for me?

Holding one or more MetalCore Infantry Genesis NFT gives you one additional daily mission in the game for every NFT you hold. You must hold it before the snapshot (Feb 29th, 2024 @ 3PM PST) and ensure that you have linked your wallet and game account (https://link.metalcore.gg).

All holders of MetalCore Infantry NFTs are automatically granted access to the Closed Beta.

Why are we migrating the MetalCore Infantry NFTs?

MetalCore is taking the next step into integrating Web3 into our game experience. Immutable zkEVM is the first of its kind - a chain for games that offers low cost, massive scale, Ethereum security, and smart contract compatibility. Migrating the MetalCore Infantry NFTs will allow our gamers to have the best experience trading and interacting with their NFTs in the game!

Can you tell me more about the additional daily mission that I get for holding a MetalCore Infantry Genesis NFT and what benefits it gives me?

By burning and minting your MetalCore Infantry Genesis NFT, you will not only receive an additional bonus of points in our social quests per NFT you burn/mint, but you will also receive additional daily mission to complete in-game during the Closed Beta. This additional daily mission will give you more Marks - points that are given to players for in-game activities that they complete during Closed Beta.

I’ve migrated my MetalCore Infantry NFTs, now what?

Great work, Soldier! Now, you can see your NFTs in the game, and for every NFT you own, you’ll get an additional daily contract, allowing you to pick up more Marks. Additionally, to celebrate your migration, visit the Infantry Migration Quest on https://beta.dequest.io/realms/metal-core to ensure you are accounted for! There will be a separate allocation of $MCG for those that migrate that will be proportional to the number of NFTs you migrate.

Where will I be able to trade my MetalCore Infantry NFTs after I migrate them?

MetalCore NFTs will be available in all Marketplaces that are integrated with Immutable zkEVM. This includes Sphere (https://sphere.market/) , as well as Token Trove (https://tokentrove.com/), and other marketplaces in the future. More information will be shared about the options for where players can trade their NFTs.

How many Marks are given for in-game activities at Closed Beta?

Daily contracts range from L1 - L5 difficulty and will give anywhere from 200-500 Marks.
World Bosses will spawn 4-6 times per day and grant 1,000 Marks.
Domination Events happen 4-6 times per day and grant 500 Marks for the winner.

You will be able to see all your Marks in-game in the Contract Terminal.

What’s a Mark?

Marks are in-game rewards that can be earned in various ways through the completion of daily contracts, world boss fights, and domination events. Marks will be correlated to claimable $MCG during TGE

What’s a Contract?

Players can accept military “Contracts'' to earn XP and rewards. Contracts are MetalCore’s version of a mission. They are broken up into step by step objectives that players must complete to earn various rewards.

What is the difference between Closed Beta 1 and Closed Beta 2?

In Closed Beta 2 (CB2), we will be releasing Leveling for the Mechs/Loadouts to increase player customization options and replayability.

How do I get access to the Closed Beta? How do I get access / a code to play the game?

MetalCore is currently in Closed Beta, which means you will need a beta access code to play the game. To get yourself a beta code, be sure to sign up with your email at metalcore.gg to be put on the waitlist to receive a code! During Closed beta phases, game keys will be sent out every 24 hours.
To get a fast-track to a beta code, you can join our Discord and fill out this form.

Please note that even if you hold a beta code and try to play the game in between our Closed Beta phases, you won’t have access to the full gameplay experience. You will need to login to play at specific time frames that are announced by the official Metalcore channels (i.e. during the Closed beta phases) to experience the full gameplay of MetalCore and roam around Kerberos’ open-world!

I have a game key from previous playtests, do I still need to sign up for the Closed Beta?

If you already have your key, great! We highly encourage you to also sign up to the MetalCore newsletter for exclusive content, events, sneak peeks, and the latest and greatest about the game so you don't miss out!

Since Closed Beta started, what game features have been added to the game?

Many improvements and new features have been added to MetalCore since the Closed Beta started. Including: Ability Overhaul giving players enhancement for in-game abilities; World Expansion with the introduction of new content that increases the depth of the game world; Unit Loadouts that add new element varieties within loadouts to better customize your gameplay experience.

We also released the Infantry Genesis NFT for early supporters of MetalCore. Which marked the time when MetalCore issued its first NFT Collection of 10,000 unique infantry NFT's in July 2022. Future mint opportunities are on the horizon including Vehicles, Aircraft, and Mechs - so stay tuned for those!
